He was briefly adopted to a family who did not have the patience to work with his puppy energy and antics some of which have been tempered by maturing in the shelter. She is exceptionally good with children and seems to understand they are great playmates but she must be careful so as not to knock them down. She is fine with cats and other dogs. Imagine a little dog who once had a joyous home with a snuggly bed, a pretty pink collar and a doting mama. A previous life, now a distant memory as her beloved person went off to college and little BJ entered the concrete home you now see. Almost 2 years have passed since BJ arrived. Prior to coming under shelter care, Grover had lived his entire life in a backyard pen without medical care. His only people socialization was with the owner who brought food to the pen and left. He had a female companion most of that time who was adopted shortly after coming to the shelter. Grover is a classically beautiful hound who weighs in at 59 pounds with long mahogany ears.
